The Tank Farm Installation & Fatgbems Rehabilitation Works project involved engineering, structural upgrade, and facility restoration for Fatgbems Petroleum Company Limited (FPCL) at its coastal petroleum storage terminal/depot facility.
Client / Asset Owner: Fatgbems Petroleum Company Limited (Fatgbems Group).
Facility Type: Marine Downstream Depot / Bulk Petroleum Storage Terminal.
Primary Scope: Mechanical tank installation, structural rehabilitation, integrity restoration, and pipeline network modernization.
Vertical Storage Tank Erection: Fabrication and installation of carbon steel above-ground storage tanks (ASTs) for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), and Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK).
Storage Capacity Expansion: Upgrading bulk product storage volume to expand throughput and third-party storage capabilities.
Foundation & Civil Base Works: Reinforced ring-wall concrete foundation civil works engineered to support high hydrostatic pressure and soil load-bearing limits.
Tank Shell & Roof Repairs: Plate replacement, weld integrity tests (NDT/UT testing), and structural re-corrosion treatment.
Internal & External Surface Coating: Sandblasting to SA 2.5 standard followed by multi-layer epoxy lining internally and UV-resistant protective external painting.
Secondary Containment (Bund Wall) Upgrade: Civil reconstruction and waterproof lining of containment bund walls to meet NMDPRA (Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority) environmental safety mandates.
Piping Network Replacement: Overhaul of suction/discharge manifolds, cross-country transfer lines, and loading arm connections.
Automated Loading Systems: Integration of high-capacity bulk loading pumps, digital flow meters, auto-stop valves, and batch controllers for gantry efficiency.
Firefighting & Safety Systems: Installation of fixed foam pourers, cooling water sprinkler rings, fire-water monitors, and gas detection networks.
